IAA is Committed to Building a Sustainable Future

Hello again, everyone. I want to address something that’s deeply important not only to IAA, but all of our clients and the UK as a whole.

Sustainability and Environmental Social Governance (ESG) have been at the heart of IAA’s core mission for nearly 40 years. We’ve ensured our business model and best practices extend sustainability efforts well beyond the environment, with a specific focus on what is known as the Circular Economy.

We process more than two million vehicles annually so materials can be reused and recycled in order to minimise negative impacts on the environment and the need for raw materials to build new vehicles. Our purpose within the Circular Economy is to keep vehicles out of landfill while extracting the most value from a vehicle over its lifespan. We know this is especially important in the UK.

IAA and our provider partners also recognise other important aspects of sustainability that we — and you — care about deeply. Corporate Governance, Social Responsibility and Environmental Initiatives include components such as cybersecurity, labour practices, DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion), health and safety, supplier management, greenhouse gas emissions and energy consumption.

Simply put, we are committed to helping build a more sustainable future. I encourage you to learn more about IAA’s efforts and read our 2020 Sustainability Report that we recently published.

That’s all for now. Thank you for reading and I’ll be in touch again soon.
